Update: Qatar Airways Offices in Bahrain, KSA and UAE have been closed today (8th June, 2017), and the website is also not accessible.

Keeping in view the recent disruption in the ties of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and UAE with Qatar, coupled with the ban on Qatar airways, a number of queries have raised since yesterday- especially with regard to the airline operations. Being one of the leading airlines, Qatar airways has multiple direct and connecting flights all across the globe, each day, and thus thousands of passengers are being affected.

If you had a flight in recent days, and are being affected by the recent ban, here is all that you need to know:

  •  All the flights to and from countries (including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and UAE), that have cut diplomatic ties with Qatar, have been banned with immediate effect.
  • The flights from 5th June till 12th June have been cancelled- Qatar airways are offering full refunds for the same.
  • After 12th June, Qatar Airways is offering alternate routes (via Muscat, Oman) and also refunds are being offered. However, dates might fluctuate (you may or may not get tickets for the same dates)
  • It is advised that the customers, who had their flights booed through travel agents, should contact their travel agents for refunds/ other information. Similarly, the customers who booked through the airline directly, should contact the airline office.
  • According to the latest updates, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia have revoked license of Qatar airways, and all the offices of Qatar Airways in Bahrain and KSA will discontinue operations within 48 hours (they will be operative on 7th and 8th June).
  • Keeping in view the crisis situation, all the offices in Bahrain have extended their operation hours from 8:00 AM- 6:00 PM (even more, to cater to all the customers).
  • However, there are long queues observed at the offices, and thus it is advised that you reach their office as soon as possible.
  • The airline office is offering instant cash refunds to the customers who paid in-cash for their tickets (at Qatar Airways office), and online refund is offered to the ones who paid for their tickets online.

On official website of Qatar Airways, the travel alerts sections states:

Qatar Airways has suspended all flights to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kingdom of Bahrain and Egypt until further notice.
All customers booked on affected flights will be provided with alternative options, including the option of a full refund on any unused tickets and free rebooking to the nearest alternative Qatar Airways network destination.
